Why AbilityAlive (Our Story)

My name is SunilKumar and I’m the founder and CEO of abilityalive

The journey starts from December 2017. It was the worst time in my life ever and that time taught me how to be happy in any situation of life. Those days I usually remain to be loss. It was like a fight with myself. Also, I saw a time in life when a moment willing to die and another to live. I was searching for an idea to be happy. One day I saw a video of the great motivational speaker and entrepreneur Sandeep Maheshwari- Last Life changing seminar. Genuinely it was the turning point in my life. I started to follow him and he is the guy who taught me how to be happy and now what to do.

From his speeches, I got motivated and restart my life with a new vision. I started to learn something from the internet and then I supposed to serve/work for a special community (Differently Abled Person) in the world. And used to think how I can work for them.

How I started AbilityAlive

Actually, I am a special education teacher. I have double diploma in special education

1) DECSE (MR) & 2) D.EdSE(MR) and working since 2013 with special children like Intellectual Disabled, Autism Spectrum Disorder, Cerebral Palsy, Hearing Impaired, Learning Disability etc.

Also, I have done India’s highest diploma of Special Olympics Bharat that is Diploma in Special Olympics which is known for sports activity for special persons.

The big problem of this field is the awareness in our society even some people call those persons with nasty names like पागल, बावला, mental, लंगड़ा and some of the shows vain sympathy. I think both are not good for good human development. It is not because people are cheap or negative but lack of awareness.

The second thing is which I faced during my diploma is lack of study material. We used to search here and there in different books and collect it from our college's library then go for photocopy which was very costly and time taking. And I think this problem was not only I who faced this but also facing coming trainees.

Then I decided to make a platform from where we can solve all these problems through an online platform.

Our mission is to serve all special education trainees, Parents, special educators, and other rehabilitation professionals.

Abilityalive is the perfect community for anyone who is passionate about discovering themselves through our articles and for those who have the desire to excel in this fast-changing online world.

Abilityalive is an answer to:

  • What/How/Whom/Where…………Special Education?
  • What/How/Whom/Where…………Teaching Learning Material?

Man Behind Abilityalive: Sunil Jawala, That’s me

I am the mind behind Abilityalive.

I may use big words at times, but I’m a really simple guy who loves to simplify complex stuff.

It was 2021 when I started to learn on the internet just to keep busy myself and after a time I introduced with YouTube and then blogging.

I’m an introvert and I thought this is a great idea for me to share my knowledge with the world. In April 2023, I got to know more about blogs & it took me about 2 years from, then to start my first blog.

I started blogs writing in April 2023. I found blogging to be a great medium for sharing my favorite things with the world.

That’s how Abilityalive was born.

 ·         Being A special education teacher I got an award in 2015 as "Nation Builder Award" (Best Teacher Award) From Rotary Club

  • Even made me worthy to receive an award from Victor R Vaz – National Director (Sports) – Special Olympics Bharat for my dedicated duty & honesty.

I’m sure you know how tough it is to get something from work. Getting the “Awards” was one of the best things that have ever happened to me.

When I’m not on my computer, I love work with children with special needs & sports for special children.

Yah! I also get goosebumps whenever I watch these photos again.

I love to travel, poetry & reading.

So yeah, that’s all about me. I leave you with this moment of relative seriousness:

When I first started Abilityalive, I had no idea how it was going to be. It was one of those things that I did but couldn’t explain why.

I just did it because I loved it!

Abilityalive is an idea to merge both, and effort to avail more in readable form to the world.

Here at abilityalive, I share everything about Special Education. I believe life is too short to live in fear & live somebody else’s life.

I also love simplicity & transparency. As a part of our transparent culture here at Abilityalive
